Bullfrog 12th to 15th Oct
#1
Spent a few days at Powell with the family. Fishing was fantastic by my standards.
Friday we caught very fat healthy stripers in the main channel between Forgotton and Knowels canyon. Speed reeling up through the schools that were between 50 and 60 feet.
Saturday it rained all day and we decided not to boat. That night we went out on the docks below the lights. We started at 8 and quit at 11. In that time we caught over 100 stripers from 10" to 26", and a 20" walleye.
Sunday we fished the wall at Moki with the same results as Friday.
If you are holding off going to Powell because you don't have a boat and think you can't catch anything go anyway and fish the docks at night.
I would like to see some of the people who keep all the white bass from UT Lake go down there and help kill off a couple of thousand stripers.

And I would love to put a 1000 wipers in the freezer!!! And there is a reason that Wayne Gustaveson (the biologist for Powell) is always begging people to keep every wiper they catch. If they don't get thinned out, they will eat the lake void of small fish.

But if I had the funds to go to Bullfrog, I would go fish the fall open team tournament here in a couple of weeks. But, the wife has put the kibosh on my fundage. Damn wives, they have to be logical and reasonable and pay bills, etc. Instead of blowing every penny on boat gas!!!! See how they are!!!!
