Arrived at the Soldier creek boat ramp after 4 wheeling it to the ramp, to find a foot of snow on the ramp. 1 degree above zero at 8:30. Chained up to launch the boat. We were the only boat on the water except 2 guys that had been snowed in since Sat. They couldn't get out till the ramp was plowed. She was sure cold. Fishing wasn't as good as a couple weeks before but we went up to trap minnows. Did catch a lot of slot cuts and 2 nice bows. The yellow plane that turned over by the Strawberry lodge flew over us several times really low. I was surprised to see it on the news last night. Ice up in the bays. Caught fish casting jigs to the ice edge. The last time up there in a boat this year. Hard water on the berry next time. Seems really weird to think of those folks drowning up there. Really .
