Someone posted on the Utah board that they went up high in the mountains (10,000'+ elevation) and walked and fished the lake. When he checked the thickness, he discovered he was standing on 3/4" of hard slush.[Sad] He did make it back home safe and didn't swim anywhere, but I'll wait a bit longer.

Had ice until it got back up into the 50's and 60's! I fear what Mr Clown's been experiencing lately... lots of slush, nothing really worth trying to walk on.

The lakes up here are frozen over, but not solid enough to walk on yet. I am hoping to get out to a fishing/barbeque outing on saturday just north of Duluth if there is enough ice.

just saw on my news station,

its a whole 10* in Bismark ND at the time of this post.

my forcast for tomarow is 65*, no thats not minus 65, almost the same as today except for the rain, today we had sunny and 65.

they are threttening us with snow for the weekend, but thats like betting on the loins game here in detroit. Will it snow? will the lions win? It could happen, and on rare ocation it does.

I havent even pulled in the dock yet this year....

we just got a weather bulitten, winter storm worning 20-30 miles to the north of me, winter advisory at my house.

of corse tonight our news reporter got on the band wagon and said advanced predicting of the weather isnt perfect,

I liked the old satilite imagery, one look at it on the old black and white screen we knew a front was comming, we hardly ever had a storm sneek up on us, that was untill they started the computer weather forcasting....

grandma's arthritis crickets at night, looking at the leaves on the trees, looking at the ant hills in the yard gave us better info on what was to come in the next couple days.

today while out enjoying my last day of deer season this year I went over to my spot to give the pine squrils some peanuts for keepin me company all season, they had picked up the corn I put down for the deer and stuffed the cernals in the cracks of the bark in the trees all around the area, looked kind of cool. trees with yellow spots all the way up the tree.

wonder if that means we are going to get 10 feet of snow...
