Very informative little video. Thanks for this post. I would not have known what to do except PANIC. This little clip was kind of an eye opener for me. I drilled through a couple of screwdrivers handles and attached some rope and they hang with me in my jacket to claw me out. I know there are more expensive versions out there, but old screwdrivers from the garage will do I hope.

You can get a "real" set of ice picks at cabelas or Sportmans wharehouse for 5 or 6 bucks. They are sharp and really dig in. Hope I never have to use them!

When I first read your post I didn't think I was going to watch the whole video when I clicked on it. I did. It was very informative. I just hope everyone is being safe this year. Early ice always freaks me out.
