A number of members have commented on having trouble purchasing replacement auger blades from local stores as supplies have been sold out and new blades won't be ordered till next season. I ordered a pair of replacement blades for my Mora hand auger from this online supplier and got good service and quick delivery. It may be something to consider if you have a Strikemaster or Mora auger and can't find blades.

Does anyone make replacemrnt blades for the Eskimo Barracuda hand auger besides Eskimo?
Can you get them from Strikemaster?
The auger would be OK if you could get blades that worked!

Smith & Edwards has 8" blades for the Strike Master Lazer and 1 set of 10". They also had 8" blades for the Strike Master 2000. They had blades for hand augers also, I think it was for the Mora had auger.

Looking for Eskimo Standard 6" here.
Found 8" Eskimo blades at SW for Standard, Lazer and power augers. Not sure if the Barracuda blades are different than the other power auger blades.
I'm working on an adapter for my drill to power my auger, didn't weld it perfectly straight so the auger head wobbles to much. I guess I'll cut it off and try welding it again. This time I'll use a sleeve of some type to keep it straight while I weld.
The drill spun the 6" auger head fine, almost with to much speed. I should work on a 2/1 gear driven transmission to reduce the auger spin rpm. 3/1 would be ideal.
