Pineview Res . 11 " of ice ,1 " of snow , solid edges where I was ,Cemetery point .Ice making lots of popping , but I would drive my ATV on it so oh yeah how was the fishing ? Well let me tell you it has been better . I landed 6 perch by noon , and I left at 1:30pm . My biggest was 9.5 " and I missed about as much as I landed . I found fish at 34 ' on bottom . It just was great to be out and only one in the parking lot . I did see some distant ice fishers in the distance . I try several different colors of rat finkees , but they seemed to prefer glow today . they didn,t want lots of action either . I could see bumps on the finder but they stopped feeding at noon . tight lines

Thanks for the update. I bet that was pretty nice having the whole lake to yourself. It has been 5 days since i have been out and i am already itchin to go again.

I went up on Saturday 3/1 and knocked the snot out of the perch. 39 by 4:00pm and 90% were a good size. At one point I was reeling in a little perch and a muskie took him. It was a 20min fight on a ultra light ice rod with 4lbs. line. I got him started up the ice hole where I could see the perch in his jaws and then "Snap!" the line must of caught on his teeth and I was left kneeling on the ice almost in tears with only dreams of catching my first muskie.....

Man talk about a heart break! I was fortunate enough a couple of years ago to land a 30 incher through the ice on 4lb test. Man that was quite the rush. They are one big mean fish! Thanks for the report, good luck next time you head out.

Hey BigGrizz , Sounds like you had a blast . I only stayed a half a day and also help someone that broke down on trapper loop so I got there a little late . Maybe I will try again this weekend . I did hook one perch that had some bite marks on him . I would love to get a tiger up to the hole . Where about were you on the lake ? I been fishing off cemetery point all winter . I think I need to find a new spot . Still trying to get a 50 limit on them perch . It has been rough for me this year at Pineview .
