holmes creek 2/3
#1
I went to Holmes creek yesterday for about 1 1/2 hours. got there at about 3:00 and left at 4:20. When i got there their was about 4 or 5 other groups. And one of them was at the point i always go to so i tried somewhere else. It was 30ft of water and i put the fish finder down and saw a couple so i put down and in a couple minutes i had a hit and lost him at the whole. I ended up with a 12" bow and about a 6" bluegill.
I had to work for the bite. I would have to take it right to them and then go either down or up about a foot and jig a lot of light jigs. I missed 6 or 7 others then it was time to go to work. [Image: icon_sad.gif]
I am hoping to go again this week.
Got Most of the bites on a small jig head with a piece of worm and got a couple on an ice jig

Seems to have slowed way down there over the past week or so. I think the fish are getting the late season ice mood on.

I went up on Sunday afternoon. The clouds cleared off some and it was nice and quiet. There was 1 other guy on the pond, he left and another came. I think everyone had gone home for the game.
I had a nice bite. 2 Bows, returned, and a couple of nice crappie. The crappie came through about 2-3 feet off the bottom. I had to lift up from the bottom so they could see the jig.
Fished all over, dam, 1st point, middle, west side. Fished from 15' to 31'. I used watta's, tear drops, finkies, genz, with waxies and meals.

Good report, to catch fish in such a short amount of time is great. Do you think you would have done better if your spot wasn't taken? WH2
