After fishing with LH2 yesterday, I decided I needed to upgrade on my equipment (he always fishes with the best equipment[sly]).
I have a lot of spinning rods and reels. However, I want to know what you use. Why do you like your mac setup? I notice a lot of
people use the bait casting setup over the spinning setup. Why
do you like it better?
Please post some pic's. I am thinking I need to spend some money
at cabelas.
thanks

I like the feel of jigging with the baitcasters as opposed to spinning setups. I do need a shorter rod though, mine is way too long.

Save your dough..
I use my grandson's Scooby Doo fishing pole. However, I did replace the cheep factory line with 50 lb. mono because I got a great deal for 5000 yds., $2.80.
Whats more I use it because its so cute, yet manly..
Truth be known. 4' - 6' Rods (depending whether I'm hiding in the black Box or not). MH graphite with a fast tip sporting a baitcaster loaded with a couple hundred yds of 14 or 17 lb P-line.
BTW,, Braids are for girls,, HA!

Agreed, reels and also line are the most important. I like 10lb test but it looks as if most prefer heavier line
