New Mods :)
#1
Got my mods ready for spring bassin[Wink]

I made the rod holders earlier in the winter. Now I have added Sonar and GPS. Also I have put a swivel plate on my seat, it makes all the difference when using the TM.

The Sonar and GPS are mounted on a frame I made from angled and flat Alum. and pieces from one of those windshield notepad things.

I still need a 12v batt for the sonar. SO....
What would be best.

1.Use TM batt
2.buy a small 12v batt
3.build a 12v batt using 8 AA NiMH batts
(like the one AdictedBassTard made)

That looks like a nice set up bro. It looks like you will be ready.

I would make one change to the 8AA batteries. Instead I would make it into a 10 battery cell. The rechargeables are all 1.2 volts. With the 10, you can make it a perfect 12 volts.

The only thing that I would add is a 10ah SLA battery and attach the 5a 12v solar panel to it. That would allow you to keep a sufficient charge to run your fish finder and GPS without fully draining the battery.

Otherwise you would need to go with the 12v Gell Cell Marine battery.[cool]
