Went down to Topock, Colorado River and took only two Stripers home. One caught on anchovie and one on Grandpa Steves stink bait. Didnt know Stripers hit stink bait....
Only complaint is that the fish were small being about two pounds each....
Any idea when the big whoppers will show up ???

How deep do you need to run an AC plug? I always thought it was speed oriented rather than depth. Just wondering.

The AC is wood and floats on the surface. People say to fish at 35 to 45 feet deep. Thats why I asked... At a good boat speed the jig looks to be about 10 feet deep. I wonder what I need to do to catch a monster....

Never caught a monster, or really know what techniques or equipment are necessary to do so. If I wanted to learn that style of fishing I would save my dollars and invest in time spent with a guide. The return would be worth it.
You could also check out the local Striper Club. They meet monthly and some of their members are the best striper fishermen around.
