The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Hunter Safety program is offering several hunter education classes throughout the spring and summer in central Florida.
Hunter safety certification is required for anyone born on or after June 1, 1975 in order to purchase a Florida hunting license. It's a good idea for those who plan to hunt next fall to take a class now, and not wait until the last minute and risk not getting into a class later.
Unless otherwise indicated, to register for classes call (352) 625-2804, or register online at MyFWC.com/huntered/ and follow the links. May classes will be held at the locations and times listed below.
