Spinney Mountain Reservoir

[size 1]Me and Dre went on a guided fishing trip to Spinney Mountain Reservoir with Larry. We trolled using gold and black rapalas and gold kastmasters. We caught 8 rainbow trout mixed in with some brown trout just by trolling the rapalas and the kastmasters. We then went jigging, using black marabou jigs. While we were jigging we caught 13 brown trout mixed in with some rainbow trout. The water was very calm in the morning, with the sun shining and felt warm. Towards the afternoon the wind picked up a lot and the sun got covered by grey clouds, and started to get a little cold. All together the trip went very good and Larry our guide got us on the fish. He also is fun to talk to and he does his very best to get you on the fish and shows you a good time. Below I posted some pictures of our trip and posted pictures of the lures we used. [font "Andalus"][size 3]I'll add to that, it was an awesome trip. Larry was extremely helpful and very comfortable to be around. It was evident that he put forth the effort to making it a fun and informative trip. I have never jigged fished before and he taught me well enough where I was able to catch many rainbow trout and german browns. I also got to take a 20in home with me on my first time jig fishing. I would recommend him for anyone looking to go fishing in that area. [/size][/font]

Great report! It looks like you had a very fun day fishing. Sounds like this guy is a high quality guide! Jig fishing is a lot of fun at times! And any time you're catching 20 inch browns... that makes for a fun day of fishing!
