Faqrmington Canyon
#1
I heard a rumor today that their might be a little pond up Farmington canyon that the DWR stocks on a regular basis. I am looking to take the kiddo camping and was wanting to drown a few worms while we were at it.

I have never been up there so if anyone knows anything about it I sure would appreciate some input.

Thanks guys

There is a community pond called "Farmington Pond" and it's right at the entrance of the canyon if I remeber right. I don't know of any pond that is actually up the canyon. The stream that flows down the canyon can be pretty productive in the deeper holes.

There is a pond at the top of Skyline drive. Head up the Farmington Canyon road till you get there...just as you make the ascent to Bountiful Peak you will see it. It is stocked, a fun place of kids or adults to practice fly fishing. I'm not sure if this is the pond you ask about, but it might be.

Yeah there is a farmington pond and it is stocked regularly but it is also fished out like crazy. I like to go there on the weekdays when I don't have alot of time to fish and just hang out. I don't know of any camping close to the pond though. You can go further up the canyon for that.

I was up there last week and did not get a single bite. I was fishing with everything I could think of along with two friends and nothing between the 3 of us. According to the utah web site is was stocked 3 times but I had no luck at all. There was a bad mud slide up there and it was closed for some time while they fixed the pond, maybe that has something to do with it, or just bad luck.
