Lake Mead Tuesday Morning
#1
Tuesday, 06/12/07- Hit the water early (5:30am). Wind and waves were the story today. Headed to Las Vegas Wash, finding a couple of boats in the area. Unsuccessful in finding shad, ended up anchoring near the green bouy within sight of Hole 33. Chummed a ton, and began soaking cut bait. Set out two poles, one at 45' and one at 25'. Started catching really small stripers at about 25'.These little bait robbers kept the bait board busy. Never did get a hit at any other depth. The boat rocked back and forth in the wind. No real surface activity observed. Watched a bunch of boats driving back and forth, in and out of coves. Never staying anywhere for long. Up anchor at about 9:30am and enjoyed a wet and wild ride back to the marina. Can't wait to do it again!

Hey BaySport,

Just out of curiosity, do you use a fishfinder out there? If so, how good is it in terms of spotting stripers? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Paul
