First fishing lures. Wish me luck.
#1
I have been hunting for a lure to fish with that matched a fathead minnow best I could as I use live bait and well it is getting to be to much for me as a college kid. I got a rubber minnow that sinks because it has a lead head with eyes that looks similar. I also purchased a cheap lure from Wal-Mart that looks like a Rapala lure knock off It is a little fatter then the better lure and has a little bit of purple on the top and a little red on the bottom lip. I am hoping the gray and silver will attract the fish to hit. I spent my couple weeks bait budget on my 2 new lures and already got some live bait for this week. Wish me luck.

Good luck out there. Don't forget, some tackle stores have the Storm lures. There are many different varieties to choose from. Some of them look like the real thing.[cool]

Storm lures are very realistic and work very well. I might sound like a broken record but when Im fishing where the fish eat alot of minnows I always have a fluke on one of my poles. Just get some gamagatsu 5/0 offset shank worm hooks and some watermelon seed and white pearl are shad color flukes and have at it. One of your basic tactics when choosing any kind of lure is the get a dark and light color to match any water conditions you might see. Of course you can get alot more in depth on colors than that but that works well as a general rule of thumb. Good luck your next time out. Rip some lip, Matt
