Scored on a Fish Cat 4 at Cabela's bargain cave last night, a cent below $100. Brand new, never taken out of the box until last night. I inflated it last night to check for leaks and it held up well overnight. I've been floating on a U-boat style float tube for the last couple of years and have been eyeing one for a while.

[cool][#0000ff]Sounds like you scored a good deal. Let us know if you need help getting tricked out. We have lots of pics of FC4s rigged up and we have worked on quite a few.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]One word of advice, in advance. Be sure you learn how the fill valves seat properly and make sure they are not leaking before you hit the water. That is one little potential problem area if you don't get them seated right. Bummer to have to walk back in if your tube goes flat. At least you have two air chambers.[/#0000ff]

So, when will the Maiden voyage be? I need an excuse to get out again. You are really going to enjoy the FC4.

Congrats on joining the Kitty family. I have had my FC4 for almost 4 years now. No major problems with it so far. I do recommend finding some of the newer Silicon seals for the Boston Valves.
Mine went out earlier this year but it was only a $5fix to get new seals.[cool]

My old float tube has the same style valve so I am quite familiar with how they are set up. Thanks for the heads up! I will be looking at how to get a fishfinder set up. I have an extra transducer for my Garmin and the board has a lot of examples that I can draw from.

Thanks! Good to know Rich is still excited about fishing. What Rich and I have learned together about fishing is only a minute fraction of what experience and time on the water can teach him. My float tube probably won't be as pimped out as the rest of the gang. I usually carry only two rods with me and I am too lazy to take off the fishfinder off my boat to put on the tube. I've got other projects happening at the house also that takes time away from hobby projects, oh well, this, too shall pass.
P.S. There were two other FC4 units at the bargain cave, priced from $110-$120. One box said a clip is missing/broken on the apron, minor fix I say.

Thanks for the great outing today. Good number of fish and great variety of them, too. DGF and I caught over 20 bass today from 10" to 17". The pics is the only largemouth taken today. As usual, the pesky perch are everywhere.
P.S. No Mojos were used today for the bass, just plain old split shots on wacky rigs.

Yes, it was a good day, once we found the spots where they were. It should also be noted that the canoe fleet gave us a break (and didn't show up) as well. What more could one ask for. Neither of us really went after the perch very much, but they were there.
Here is a little more bassin eye candy from today.
