TCGC Named ORA Club Of The Year
#1
Central Oklahoma's Tri City Gun Club (TCGC) was recently named the Oklahoma Rifle Association's (ORA) Gun Club of the Year. Club President Bob Touchstone received the award at the annual ORA Convention in Oklahoma City.

"It is a real honor to be recognized as the top gun club in the state," Touchstone said. "To be acknowledged as a club that is reaching out to the community and encouraging people of all ages to get active in the outdoor and shooting sports is truly a privilege and an honor."

Tri City has worked tirelessly to improve the club and is one of the fastest growing gun clubs in the state with approximately 776 members. TCGC offers a variety of shooting programs for the membership and sponsors a Sportfest for youngsters every year. TCGC also works closely with the Boy Scouts and other civic groups to promote the shooting sports.

"My hope is to not only get the community interested in Tri City, but to promote more interest in the Oklahoma Rifle Association the state NRA affiliate," Touchstone said. "The association is dedicated to preserving our civil rights and has fought for these rights, at the same time they've remained an integral part of the fight to protect our rights as outdoorsmen."

Tri City Gun Club offers six different shooting discipline ranges including archery, black powder, handgun, plinking, rifle and shotgun. A new skeet shooting range is in the early planning stages; no opening date has been announced.

Tri City is located 1/2 mile east of I-35 just outside Norman Oklahoma at Highway 9 west, (exit 106), cross over the Interstate and go east to turn left onto Jesse Dr., and follow the signs. The range is open seven days a week from legal sunrise to legal sunset. Membership is required for use of facilities. Call Bob Touchstone at 405-329-8950 for details
