Henry's Lake
#1
We headed up to Red Rock Campground Sunday the 16th and got all settled in. Fished the river down by Mack's Inn for the even with the wind and rain (didn't want to be on the lake in that)
Caught a few dinks, but a lot of fun.
Monday we headed to Hebgen and MAN IS IT LOW. Weedy as heck and we had to go out about 200 yards to get out of the weeds and even then we were in 15' of water. The Trout however are mean as heck. Then put up a most excellent battle. One had me into my backing three times. 22" and fat. Wind picked up so back to camp.
Tuesday we hit the "H". For anyone that has fished Strawberry, it looks the same with the floating moss. The only problem is Strawberry is much deeper so Henry's is having a problem with it.
I had three real nice LDR's (long distance releases) and then received the call that ended our vacation.
My mother had passed away in her sleep with no prior problems, so this was a blow.
Good luck to all of you this year up there and catch one for me and my mother.

Thanks for your report. My thoughts are with you. Reminded me of a couple years ago when my Uncle Kenny drowned while fishing below Massacre Rocks. My wife and I were in Florida at the time. We got in our car and drove back 36 hours straight. So anyway I can understand your situation. Hope to meet you up at Henry's some other year.

Joni,

I am so sorry for your loss. I just recently found my biological mother and can only imagine the pain you feel. Time will go on, the pain will lessen, but your heart will always hold fond memories.

Thank you for being YOU and sharing with us.

It is all coming together now and I will take baby steps, but, it is getting a little easier with all the support.
Thank you all and may god bless each and every one of you and your families.
