finally got out after a month and half and had a good day on the water flies of choice were prince nymphs and zug bugs all were 10-14 afew around 18" and 1- 21" big fat football hits all day at the end when the sun started down behind the hill changed to a brown bugger and pulled in 2-3 decent ones. brought a couple home and noticed they had little hard black bumps on them has anyone also noticed this this pics a little big but you can see the dots

I caught one that was covered with little bumps with black spots, and several others, like the one you show, with less severe aberations. I don't know what it is, but my guess is that it's a parasite of some kind. I'd be interested to know as well.

It is anchor worm. Usually spread by birds that are on the lake. Happens when the water gets warmer than usual in the summer. Starting to go away now. Harmless, fish can be eaten with anchor worm in the skin, no problem.
