Well we headed up to fire hole tonight myself and jeff we didnt stick around fire hole long as we saw one of are buddy's headed to the blacksfork many of you know him as johnnybrowntrout well we meet up or caught up to them at lost dog with in a couple hrs jeff and I had a problem 49 burbot one more to go and it was time to head home we ended up with a lot of burbot to say the least and the cool thing was that most were over 18'' that made cleaning them nice water temp was around 43 and there were chunk's of ice comein down the green so I dont think but a couple more week's and we will have fishable ice up north fish were caught in 17'-50' with 28 being the magic depth we used glow 3'' curly tail's and glow head's with a minnow thay will eat eny thing so get out and load your boat full.ASH

Great report i cant wait to try and pull some from the ice where is a good place to try when the ice is good

we have just been skining them like a cat fish then filetin them out thay are a little bit of a pain till you get it but with jeff skinin and me cutin we can do a pile fast man are thay good eats .just off the west end of lost dog out from the rocks has been the hot spot for us but as i have said thay are on every rocky point 23 ft was the #1 depth tonight we caught 46 before we headed in. the ice was only to fire hole and we went up to halfwayhollow up the blacks fork arm and saw no ice the water temp was 46 so it wont be long for the ice.ash
