Rockport report 11/24/07
#1
Wiperslayer and I launched at 9:30am and started trolling toward the dam. As always I was slow to get my lines in the water and Ira had already caught five by the time I had my first one to boat. We trolled around the whole lake but the hot spot was right in front of the dam. We ended up with 30, all between 7 to 14 inches, these fish on average were smaller than the ones at East canyon but they still gave us a good fight. Water temp was 44* and never warmed up even those it did get a little warmer as the day wore on. We were off the water at 2:30 and only saw two other boats while we were there. WH2

Glad to see that you were able to get out. Not much time left before we get the hard deck.

As warm as the water has been on the last few outing and the lack of shore ice on Sat, I think we still have several weeks before we will be thinking about a hard deck. At least I hope so[unsure], because I would much rather fish from a boat than the ice[Wink], especially at the Bear. I guess the ice will be here soon enough if the cold weather ever gets here for good. WH2
