Ice on Scofield?

Anyone have an idea if there is any ice on Scofield yet? I will be up there on Friday on my way to Price and then onto Vernal, I plan on stopping by to see what the conditions are. I am getting the itch for "ice on".

Do you have some inside info you want to share? Have you ice fished on the lake already? If so, how thick is the ice? Would sure like to give it a try this weekend. Thanks for any info you can share. WH2

The only inside info I have is what I saw last Sunday I fished the last open water from my toon and it was where the arm from the dam meets the lake the entire rest of the lake was capped. As far as ice fishing I dont myself but I did see where somebody had been on the ice and drilled holes next to the dam, it looked pretty thick there and also over at the boat ramp in Madsen Bay. There where some pretty large rocks someone had thrown out and they were all sitting on top. The very South end of the lake is where I've been fishing (till the damn thing froze) it holds alot of fish (or did) a week or so ago. Most in 5 feet of water or less. Now since I dont ice fish I dont know if they move deeper after it caps. Hope this helps and good luck if you go. I'm still going to fish open water somewhere this weekend. Who knows where. P.S.
