I was out there and there where about 6 atv's out there you shouldnt have a problem

Alot of the lake is a solid 10-12" of ice with a 6" inch skiff of snow on top... as of the 24th anyway. There are some pretty big places out there however where there is 4-6" of water and slush on top of the base ice and a tiny crust of ice over the top to hide it. On the 24th I saw a couple ATVs stuck after breaking through and 1 snowmobile (the thick layer is slick so little traction if you get in the slush).
So if you stay away from anything that looks slushy you will be fine. If you get in the slushy parts it can be messy. Watch existing tracks to see where the slush is and avoid it. -DallanC [signature] |
