All right guys, you have no excuse to not be fishing. Up here in Utah everything is still frozen. Your temps are warming up and no reports. Need some imfo so we can come down and fish.[Image: fish-on.gif][Image: fish-on.gif]

There are a lot of guys out there fishing, they just don't post on this board. Some of them don't know about this forum, some drive by and just look at this forum without participating, some are not interested at all.

I'll be back on the water in about three weeks.

Here is a report. I have been out 4 times in the last two weeks. I have trolled and casted for the big boys around Saddle cove and the boulder beach area. Nothing!!!!!!!!! not even a hit. My friend caught a 13 and a 5 a double hook up last saturday but nothing the rest of the day. March is the last month for trout plants at b-5 and boulder beach.

My Neighbors have been bait fishing around Government wash and 33 hole. they have been averaging about 10 to 20 fish each trip about 1 to 2 pounds. But they are very healthy.

Water temps are rising about 56* Soon the shad will be back. maybe by the end of March. Will continue my Quest for the big ones until they go and hide for the summer. Hope to catch something to take a picture so I post it for you all to see!!

I thought as much. This time of year cut bait and chumming for small stripers! Of course if you catch a boat load it adds up to a lot of meat. Those small stripers make killer fish tacos.

WOW, four times out and nothing. Not thinking of selling your boat I hope! [Wink]

Installed a GPS and new windshield on the boat. Looking forward to getting back out on the water.

Yeah, it seems like you and me really focus on catching stripers in the 1-2 lb range because they have the best meat. And you're right, they do add up pretty quickly. A lot of the smaller ones have more meat you can fillet since they have a smaller ribcage.

Best regards,

Paul
