[#002850]Looks like I will be fishing Strawberry on Saturday and I would like to fish The Ladders area. I have never fished that area in the winter before and am wondering if there is a place to pull over and unload a snowmobille nearby. Of course we could park at the main marina and make the long ride accross the lake but I am just wondering if there is a closer place to park over in the ladders area somewhere along highway 40. Any help would be appreciated.[/#002850]

I fished the ladders area last Saturday. The parking lot at the ladders is plowed. It's an easy short walk from the parking lot to the ice. We walked out about 200 yards and fished between 25' and 30'. We did ok for only being there a couple hours in the morning.

Hey Ralph, no sense in parking at the strawberry marina. Park at the ladders parking lot and avoid the ride across the lake. Its easy access onto the lake. Just drive past the strawberry marina turn off and watch for the ladders sign just before the road bends to the right.
Good Luck !
Hey! Wait a minute!
I thought you quit ice fishing for the season?

Ralph, they keep a large parking lot plowed and the access to the lake is the easiest access available on Strawberry.

[#002850]Thanks much for everyone's input. I plan to be there bright and early for my last day of ice fishing (again) this year.
