Fished Echo today for the first time. The perch bite was consistent most of the day. Ended up keeping 16 perch. Also caught 3 trout but only kept one.
To bad the ice season is almost coming to an end.

Where were you fishing? I caught a few perch and 1 trout just off the marina but only 1 perch had any size. I crossed the lake and ran into Out4afloat? and a friend. They seemed to be having similar success. We all got on and off the ice with no problems. But pick your spot by the shore carefully, as I saw a few break thru and get their feet wet!

Good to meet you Koldfeet. Fishing was deffinitly slow again for me today. I only iced two small perch and a bow. There must of been a lot of small perch down there. Because I had nibbles all day long when I finally found the hole.
We made it on to the ice very well and just the same coming off. However I did break through last week down by the dam.

I parked at an area that had a walk through gate just before you get to the marina. There was a small section of plywood where I stepped on the ice but the ice didn't seem to thin.
The first place I tried was just past the middle of the lake. I only had a few bites there so I moved a little closer to the other shore.
Looking back where I was parked I was straight out about 200 yards from the other shore.
