Rivers End Report
#1
STRIPED BASS - More reports have been coming in this week as the
first of the migratory bass are moving up the coast. I don't expect to
see too much activity in the main body of the Connecticut River for at
least a few days during heavy flooding. Hamburg Cove should still fish
pretty well, reports for this past week have been good there. Get the
boat ready this week, by next weekend we should have a lot more migratory
schoolies in the lower River. The Thames and Housatonic Rivers were on
their game this past week, the Niantic which has a smaller population
of winterover bass was also good.

FLOUNDER - A few more hearty souls ventured out this week with
mixed results. Not all scored, the only catches we heard of came from the
Niantic River and Bluff Point. Water temps are still on the cooler side,
hope is they'll turn on as the water warms.
The season is 4/1 to 5/30 with the limit of 10 fish at 12" or
greater.

BLACKFISH - No reports this week, but it still is worth a shot.
Spring season ends at the end of the month.
