FWP to Conduct Trophy Wildlife Auction on Saturday in Bozeman

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 3 will auction non-perishable wildlife parts, including trophy mounts in Bozeman on Saturday, April 26, with proceeds deposited back into the state FWP account. Items will be auctioned to the highest bidder and include deer and elk antlers, bighorn sheep heads, a black bear hide, and other miscellaneous hides. These items are from confiscations in past criminal cases, road kills, management kills, or parts found in the wild. The auction will be held at the Region 3 headquarters (1400 S. 19 th Avenue) in the garage bay.




<br>Registration will open at 10 a.m. in the headquarter's lobby. A public viewing will begin at
11 a.m. and bidding will start one hour later at noon. The sale is authorized under state statute. FWP has previously donated numerous items to schools, museums and for other educational purposes, but has not conducted an auction in almost 10 years.<br>



<br>People must be physically present to bid. Items will go to the highest bidder. All sales are final and payment is due immediately after the auction. Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) will be accepted. No out-of-state checks will be accepted. Items sold must be removed on the day of the auction.
