Just curious, outside of the inlet at UL, have any of you caught anything in the Jordan River besides mudcats, carp, and channels?

as he posted no bodies for me yet but every time i hook in to a twig or a rock it always crosses my mine if it's going to be a body part. I just scored on some white bass by willow pond last Sunday and rainbow and one small eye.

Yeah, I haven't done that yet, but back in Idaho my buddy's grandpa was trolling in a local reservoir and happened to snag into a body. It was on the news and when they interviewed him about it he said he was glad they found him, but peeved because all the cops and press were cutting into his fishing time. Funny old coot. Anyways, I was asking about the Jordan, because I live in North Lehi and the river is pretty much in my back yard. I've fished it a bit, but seem to always catch the same thing. I guess though for the most part you catch what you focus on. I just need to change up my tactics and tackle. Who knows, I might get that dead body after all.

[cool][#0000ff]If you have a two rod permit, soak a chunk of carp or sucker meat (or white bass) on one and then throw jigs or spinners with the other. Also, be prepared to do some hiking to find the holes away from easy road access. Some of the closein spots get hammered but a 1/4 mile hike will put you in a honey hole.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]It pays to learn the flow of the river at different levels and how that affects the different runs and holes. Fish will move as the water level changes and knowing where to go at different stages can help you catch more fish.[/#0000ff] [signature] |
