Slow crappie fast bass
#1
Hit Pineview today. The crappie had filled themselves up or WH2 caught them all.[Wink] The bass poles produced right away. We got 4 total that were in that 14-16 inch size that really fight hard. Rootbeer 3 inch GY grubs. Didnt stay very long so didnt get a read on the late catch. Gave AF Dan a demo on the boat. Plus saw another one just like it in white. Those jet boats must be getting around.[shocked]

Looks like the smallies are starting to come on strong. The next week is supposed to be warmer, so I would imagine the tigers will want to come play as well.

The water was really cold. I had reads of 52-54'. The fish are somewhat day length sensative. So their bioclocks are saying were having a late cool spring. So even if the water stays fairly cool I think they will start biting more. From the looks of the bass the food supply is good but may have to work against that to catch those nice big muskys. The humans are getting out there too in spite of the cold water. So most likely will have to get there early to avoid the crowds.[cool]
