Pineview 6/20
#1
What a great day on the water, Bigbassaholic and I fished pineview from 7 til 3. Water is really warming up temp at launch was about 65 and when we left 75. Fishing was pretty slow, im guessing with the full moon the bass are getting there fill at night. Bigbassaholic managed to boat about 6 smallies all but one between 14 and 16in and one crappie about 14in. I brought in a wopping 2 bass one about 14 and the other we wont talk about. They were mainly hitting Senko's in watermelon and white. Ran into Bass-Tracker out on the water who had a reel nice musky on but since he was alone lost it at the boat trying to get to his net, but he restored him self on the next one, net in hand he scooped it up and was about 36in. I'll let them tell the rest of the story..[Wink]

Okay yeah I lost a musky at the boat but in all honesty I could of brought him in the boat when I grabbed him from behind the gills but I just didn't want my fingers to slip into his tooth cavity like I've done on pike in Alaska. Okay so heres my report. I got off work this morning and headed to pineview around 8:30. First spot I hit nothing but bunch of carp. Next stop first cast bam smallie about 12 inches. Five cast later another one but he released him self before I could take a picture of him. Well after that I caught two more smallies but managed to let them off before they made it to the boat. Okay story of the day Musky's I hit this one patch of trees and all I could see is musky's big musky's. So I am throwing a swim bait at them which I will keep to my self and bam I set the hook and come up with frayed line so I tie on another one. Two cast later bam and this one I saw and it was well over forty inches and he also swam away with a big mouth foul of hooks. So after that I met up with fishfinder462 and Bigbassaholic and we decided to go fish another part of the lake. Well I ended up pulling out one smallie and two more musky's with one of them getting off at the boat but since I physically grapped it I count it as a catch. On the last musky which fishfinder462 posted I lost my last swimbait or that color/type so the dang musky's ate all three of my swimbaits so I am off to sportsmans to buy some more. [shocked] So all in all it was a great day on the water with very limited wind and lots of sun and I got to meet some fellow BFT members. I am thinking east canyon tomorrow. Matt

Fishfinder462 and I had a great day on the water not alot of fish but good day. He had a nice tiger follow him shortly after we got started and got OUR blood pumping to start off our day. Later on he had another one follow up to the boat but no takers. It was fun watching BassTracker catch two tigers within about 10 casts in front of us..... thanks brian for coming along. Have to do it again soon.....

I fished that spot in the first pic on Tuesday and caught 9 smallies and missed one musky, it seemed like they were right in the flooded brush.
