Float Tube at or Near Bear Lake?
#1
I have a family reunion-type camping trip with my wife's family around July 24th at Bear Lake. I have a float tube and my father-in-law has a pontoon boat. I am looking for some suggestions for locations at or near Bear Lake where we can get some good fishing action in our tubes/boats. Any suggestions?

BTW - we are both traditionally trout fishermen and he likes to fly fish (spinners/bait for me).

Thanks in advance!

I dont think I myself would try the lake on a tube. Montpelier res. is pretty good at times havent fished it for years it all depends how far you would want to go to fish

I have fished bear lake from shore, on toons, waders, and boats.

You can launch your floats anywhere on the East side and get into very deep water just a short distance from shore. Attached is a map that someone on this site "ripnlips" I think?? made showing depths and such. North eden to south eden being the deeper areas.

You really need to watch the weather closely, wind comes up most afternoons but lays back down for the evening bite.

For fly fishing, the upper sections of the Logan River can be great for small cutthroats that time of year - big attractor patterns.
