Fished yuba friday evening tried for pike and walleye but the perch would have none of that. They hit everything we tried. They took up to 8 inch lures so all we ended up with friday was perch. Was going to fish yuba saturday but i had to pick my sons dirt bike up in delta. So me and the wife and son went out first thing sunday morning.Did not start out to good as soon as we got to painted rocks my water pump started acting up not good.So we launched and as soon as we did the wind started blowing hard. Not a very good start to the day.The wind made it hard to control the boat and the perch didnt help either by taking in our lures dumb perch.[:p] So i gave up and we decided to target the perch. Bruce started it off by catching a carp and we used that as bait along with some worms. The carp meat worked way better than worms.Lisa had the hot hand first catching the first 5 perch on my perch hole. Then me and bruce caught up and we had our limits quickly. The eprch action was fast the bait would not make it down to the bottom before a perch ate it.We even had at least half a dozen perch follow the hooked one up to the boat. The perch were big today average was 12 inches. If you enjoy catching and eating perch now is the time to do it.I forgot my camera so no pics but trust me there were a couple of big
s on my wife and bruces face.[
