I fished the river by 31st street 2 times this week. first time was at noon threw a hopper for a couple hours and had 1 strike. water is running a little high and milky. Last night I tried it again,water was still high
but I was hoping that being there just before dark I would get some fish rising for a hatch
they did but I quickly found out I need magnifier Glasses now to tie size 20 flys on at dusk. Bummer!
I'll get em next time.

Just curious how does the rest of the lower river fish? From 31st to the mouth of weber canyon? Is it worth the time when it's clearer? It's close and would be a great place to hit as I have family in Riverdale.
I stopped near the kayak park in riverdale to check out the conditions last thursday (but high and muddy) just in case (my father-in-law just bought a fly road and wants to learn).

30's hah!
I have had some good days on the lower sections but never as good as up higher. Personally I think that pollutants collect in the river by the time it gets down there were the water tends to move slower. actually my best days in Riverdale was bait fishing. but because it is close to home I check out different sections to see. so far the best for me has been by the police station just before dark.
