You Can Make a Positive Difference for Off-Highway Vehicles in Arizona
#1
PHOENIX - Arizona's new Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) AmbasSador Program is actively seeking volunteers! OHV AmbasSadors are trained volunteers that help enhance OHV riding opportunities by working cooperatively with Arizona resource agencies to:

* Monitor and maintain motorized areas, roads, trails and facilities

* Provide a recognizable presence on public and state lands
* Model responsible riding and use behavior
* Conduct special projects (e.g., fence repair, sign installation)
* Provide educational and informative materials to the public at OHV staging areas and special events
* Project a positive image about responsible OHV use and recreation

The current OHV AmbasSador sites are in Maricopa County and portions of Pinal and Yavapai Counties. For more information about the program and an application download, go online to: http://www.ohvambassadors.com/. The deadline for applications is Aug. 25, 2008. Please spread the word about this opportunity by putting the application link on your Web site and/or printing and distributing the flier and application to your friends.

The OHV AmbasSadors program is supported by many state and federal agencies, including the National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Arizona State Parks and the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Thank you for your continued support of wildlife, wildlife habitat and responsible OHV use in Arizona. And always remember: Nature Rules! Stay on roads and trails
