Berry help?

Headin up to the berry bright and early in the morning. Can anybody tell me where the best place to go as well as where we can find safe ice? THANKS!

We just got back from there, ice at mud creek was a solid 3" with a 4" frozen slush with 4" of slush on top of that. We didn't get up there until 4:30. The ice by the marina was maybe 2" with 4" of slush on top. There were spots where the ice would crack as you walked on it. That was all it took for me, so we headed over to mud creek. We only fished for about a 1/2 hour with no bites in maybe 10 ft. of water. We did not venture to far out do to the time of day.

Thanks for the report. We will probably stick with the thicker ice but you never know with some of the guys I fish with! [:p] I will let you know how we do and if we take a "swim" or not..
