I picked up yper jr. at about 9 am and headed to the narrows. We started getting frostbite as soon as we got out of the truck.-4*!!![crazy]
We headed down the trail and right back to the spot we were yesterday. As soon as we got our lines in it was on. We caught 36 crappies and 22 perch just us 2 and some friends got a hand full of fish. Pimples and waxies again today. I showed a few guys how to catch them but they still struggled it seemed. light line(4# flourocarbon), 2" up off the bottom, spring bobbers and tiny jigging motions are the trick. Back at it again saturday with some neighbors.[cool]

Hey Lunker thats good to hear that you are getting into them at Pineview i've been spending alot of time at the Berry and it has slowed down quite a bit at CCE (way to many people) Any who maybe i'll run into you seem how i'll be fishing the closer lake to home. And i would take Quality over Quanity any day although its fun to catch alot of fish in one day...

I was at Cemitary point this afternoon with my snowmobile. I drill a few holes just to try the new auger out, and drop my aquaview just for poops and giggles. The ice seemed fine. a good 6". I know it held my snowmobile and I just fine. There were alot of people fishing by the beach there but left as I was pulling in. I talked to a bunch of the guys and they said theye didn't catch a thing. I know with the few holes that I drilled and dropping the camera, I did see some fish, but not many, then as I was panning the cammera around I saw why I didn't see many. There were about a half doz tigers lurking around. My kids thought it was the coolest thing in the world, becasue one of them was watching my camera. I'm glad he didn't try to take a bite out of it...lol

Back at it again today for 4 hours. Caught 36 crappies and a dozen perch. It was pretty slow overall. Close to 7" of ice now and growing and cracking a bunch. Same spot, same tactics. It snowed 10" of snow in 4 hours and it was a back breaker getting back up the hill. Cletes or spikes are a must.[cool]

You will have to come in from the Port Ramp area to get on it but i think you should be ok now. Just be smart about it. Still might be some bad spots to the east.[crazy]

Nice. I can't wait to get out there. I just hope it's better than the summer/fall fishing was for us up there.

LH2 - That doesn't sound like a bad day on the ice. You must have had some fast action at times.

I need to add strike indicators to my light and UL ice rods. I managed to put a few on the Ice Sunday.

I'm heading out tomorrow morning to Pineview with kentofins, and just picked up some Swedish pimples from Sportsmans. Was wondering if you're using the single or treble hooks, and what color? Are you using another lure as well, or just the pimple alone? Any help would be appreciated. You can send me the answer in a PM if you want to.
