I have been mulling over the idea since thparkie didnt know how to find the Narrows area at Pineview. Could some of us get together and label the bigger lakes for all the tards (I can say that cause I am one) that are new to some of said lakes? Like Strawberry, Pineview, Yuba etc. . .
I'm not asking for anyone to give up any secret spots or anything, just that we have a few maps to at least get an idea of where we are heading for the first few times out. I could start by labeling my claimed home lake, Grantsville, but its just a round pond. East, West, North and South is about it there.
So if you;re willing to take a couple minutes please label a lake and maybe one of the mods can throw it in with the lake reports or directions.

I'm Confused Ratstar. Why did you call me a "tard"[mad]
Just kidding.[:p]
Some of the Slang for lakes is a little confusing to the newbies that haven't fished them much.
I thought that the "Narrows" at Pineview would be easy to find on a map of the lake, but there were several places that it looked like it could be.
Thanks by the way for those of you that responded so quickly. I had already left my house and had my wife check the post to give me directions while I was already in route. So that worked out very well.
We almost need a slang reference link.
I have seen several questions made like:
What are "Bows,Cutts, slimers, slabs, burbs, pimples, the narrows" and so on.
We almost need a dictionary. or something that the newbies can reference too.

Funny you mention this now. I am currently building exactly what you are talking about on my website, but it is a work in progress.
Take a look so far (there is a dropdown list in the upper right, just choose a lake from there - currently works only in Firefox)

Need some detailed maps and good GPS/Fishfinder and map it while you fish. Hearing of spots is good that day because the fish are chasing dinner and ambushing there food. Plus the bait or dinner is doing the same. Also the abundance of food as in easy pickens or drought have a profound effect on the situation. We fished Boysen Lake and the amount of food was so prolific that the fish would laugh at your bait and we were using live bait right on top of the fish and barely scratching a limit with 2 people fishin sunup to sundown and some night fishing. The fish seemed to be lazy. Some time in the soft water ou need too contact us and go out in our boat.
