Anyone know of the best fishing spots in Lake Placid, NY? What tackle is the best to use. Whats the best time of year is the best to go?

I was at Lake Placid a couple of years ago. The Lake there is Mirror lake and you can't put a boat in there. Check the NY State Board as the fellas suggested some other lakes close by.
