Gorge Bank Fishing

I'm headed to Green River tomorrow and should have some time Sunday to go fishing. I've never fished Flaming Gorge before but would like to give it a try. Sounds like the ice fishing is not going so well, so I guess I'll haul some lure flingin' poles.

Where would be a good area to give it a go? Utah or Wyoming license?

I'd buy a wyoming license.I was there last weekend and grafted alot of rainbows.Let me tell you a good place.I saw a couple of guys bank fishing it looked like they was doing pretty good.
Go to google earth type in Anville draw,Flaming Gorge.You'll see camp day 6 and a blue B.If you look south west from there you'll see some islands.Find the second biggest one thats closest to the coves that goes inland.Then imagin that your standing on the bank trying to look over that island straight at the blue B.You'll be on that point inbetween the two coves thats your spot.Hope its not frooze.I've never drove over there before but the two guys I saw had thier truck parked parked on the shore line.Good luck you might catch some mack there I grafted a few of them also.By the way Flaming Gorge is catch and release only.lol.[cool]Let us know how you do!!!

Nothing makes me feel better than making someone feel good!!! I love to see others .Try it you'll like it.I knew a guy that had more woman than he could handle one day I asked one of them,What do you see in him? I just had to know,because by no means was he the kind of a man that would catch women with looks.She said I can't wait to be around him he makes me feell so good.I asked what do you mean?She said he makes me feel special,he makes me feel important,he makes me think that I'm that best.He doesn't call me anything other than princess.She was glowing.I asked an other one of his women the same thing.I got the same type of answer.Wow I learned alot from that dude I wish he knew how to fish.[]

Hey I am new here but I can tell you that my favorite place to take my grandkids is at anvil draw but I go on the north side of the bay just west of the island your talking about.. a couple weeks ago during the Burbot bash we went there first and caught several nice rainbows that the kids brought in.

the fished with orange powerbait dipped in corn flavored powerbait sause.. I cant remember the name right now.

The ice was in the bay area but there was enough open near the tip that we could fish .

didn't know if you new but if your are from Utah you only have to buy a ten dollar reciprical license to fish the gorge.

I'm from Idaho. Just bought a 1 day for $14.

The fishing sucked. I ended up with two bro's who didn't care when we fished and wanted to just drop down to Lost Dog. I knew all the fish there either had sore lips by now or were full from all the food thrown their way for the last month. Not the place to be from 10am to 4:pm. I'll have my partners sign a contract aka time and place next time.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure I'll have a chance to use it in the future.
