STRAWBERRY
#1
just got back from a trip to the berry with my dad. It was an ok trip but for sure could have been better. Traveled back into renegade, ice and traveling conditons were good... for awhile. Fishing was decent, we ended up catching probably close to 40 between the three of us in the group. Nothin over 22" though[frown] but still some good lookin fish.
Now for the bad news... it rained up there all day so all the snow that was on the ice has turned to slush, about 5 to 6 inches of it. And it continued to get worse as the day went on. The rain then turned into wet snow which will probably freeze up tonight but then melt agian if it continues. So im afraid the slush monster might be showing its nasty head here pretty soon. Still plenty of ice, probably close to 11" of good solid clear ice. Caught all fish on the average strawberry gear, meel worms and shiners for bait.
