Yuba....SLOW

[frown] Went to Yuba today. Hit painted rock. got to boat ramp at noon thirty, and walked out to the island, just north and west of it. We fished for about two hours before we called it a day. No bites! Drilled holes all over till I could not move my arms anymore. (time to get a power auger!) It was beautiful down there though[] All I wanted was to catch a perch, and they let me down.....

how was the ice today? and the edges? Wheeler worthy?

It's a shame we are already to that time of year where we need daily ice updates []

The ice was better than I thought it would be. There was a good 11"-13". I did see about three wheelers out there. The edges were good to get onto at one, but when we left a little earlier they were looking a little . I talked with a guy from orem that has fished down there quite frequently and he said after that warm spell a few weeks ago, he did not dare to get on.... hopefully it stays cooler for a little while longer. The ice is in good shape though!
