Deer creek 2/13

[unimpressed] So I went to deer creek with my 3 yr old son. We got to the lake about noon fished till 4.00 Had five hits all real light. No hook ups. oh well. The edges were rough. Real soft and the island was soft all the way around it. The north side had a fairly good trail going down and onto the ice so stay right when you get on it. Wish the fish would give us a reason to come back. ice was about 9 inches thick. it was safe once you got away from the edges. I talked to three other groups out there who had about the same luck. I wondered if the people on the west side by the train tracks had any luck they drilled a few holes while i was there seemed as if they where trying to find the fish to.

Fished the tracks yesterday with utwalleye and another guy from work. 5 poles in the water, 1 perch for almost 6 hours of fishing and moving around. Saw quite a few on the fish finder, had a few hits, 1 really fat and nice looking perch. Glad you took your 3 year old out and had some "us" time. []
Makes me wish my grandchildren lived closer.
