Scouts on Saturday

I am taking a bunch of scouts fishing Saturday and was just wondering where I might get some action for them. I was thinkin of DC and fishin on the NE side of the island. Any opne water in that area? I would suspect not since it really has been pretty cold. I usually use finkies topped with meal, wax or crawler. ANy other suggestions? Anyone ever used shrimp at DC?
