Expo

Hi Folks,
My grandson and i went to the Expo today. Sure was lots of folks selling trips, but not many " gear " vendors[frown]. We enjoyed the casting ,and the splash dogs.
Met up with The FlyGoddess and watched her tie flies for a while. She is amazing, especially with the micro-flies. She was working stuff I couldnt even see with my bifocals. Learned a bunch from her. She gave us flies that we watched her tie. Thanks Miss Joni. you are[] a real treasure to our sport and our community. I will get her flies wet this week.

you are a lucky guy for sure.. first taking your son with you and then having the opportunity to meet and watch FG work her magic.. and you are absolutely right on her ge[cool]nerosity.. I hav at least two fly boxes filled her work and I am continuously awed by the work she does..

Thanks Pa. It was a blast and you two made it go really fast. I agree on the lack of equipment. I wanted to check out the new Hardy Glass, and maybe a Winston, but they just weren't there! The show is becoming more trip oriented, but true.

Yea, the fly fishing is becoming less and less as far as gear is concerned. Fishwest had a really nice booth set up. I don't think Winston will ever do a booth there because it really isn't their market.

I couldn't believe the parking today. It was like a zoo. Definitely worth it though. Won me a free Sharkskin fly line in the fly casting (3rd place). Can't wait to get it out and throw some BWO's with it!
