Hello to all!!
I want to take the time and introduce myself to everyone here on the forum. My name is peter and i'm from putnam, conn. I just recently purchased a float tube(fish cat 4-lcs) and i am very excited to fish out of it!! Being new to this i started asking myself questions like: How are boaters going to see me? How am i going to use electronics? How am i going to bring more than one pole? So to get to the point i started to question my purchase until i came upon this site!! I said WOW!!! this is great!! Alot of my question's where answered. There's alot of great ideas for setting up your tube and for being seen by other's. I will begin work on my tube this wknd!! I'm glad to have found this site!! [Smile] Thanks to all!! Best RegardsTongueeter

Welcome Peter31!! I'm sure you will find the electronics mounting in the archives will work just as well in Putnam, Conn. as anywhere else.
I mounted an Eagle 320c on my Outcast Fat Cat and just got another for a Fish Cat# 4 I have .
The finder mounting that Tube Dude posted is fast and easy. ole Mike

Welcome. I'm new here too, and ended up here pretty much the same way (looking for ideas to mod my tube). Good luck w/the tube. I've been tubing for over 20 years, and I think I love it more now than ever.

Welcome aboard Peter and thanks for joining us here. I have been tubing for over 30 years and also own a FishCat4 among other tubes and toons.

We have an extensive Archive section here compiled and organized by TubeDude with many contributions in there from many of the members here.

You will find many of the different styles of rod racks, sonar mounts, accessories and other ways to trick your tube or "Pimp your Ride" as we call it here.

Feel free to use any style you find most beneficial to you and let us know if you have some ideas of your own to share. We can always add them in there as well while giving you the proper credit for your ideas.[cool]

Welcome!

There is a ton of great ideas & very knowlegeable people here fer sure. I have always been a round float tube/take one flyrod kind of guy all my life. I always did the electronics & multiple rod thing in a bass boat.

A one man pontoon boat was something I only used in a river like the South Fork of the Boise. This site has opened my eyes to the possibilites
