[cool][#0000ff]I got to try out some of the newly painted "Mini Divers" at Willard Bay yesterday. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]1. They are very small and light. Tough to cast a long ways with line heavier than 4# to 6#, but that is what I fish mostly anyway.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]2. They float high, even with hooks and split rings. But, they dig in and dive fast on the retrieve. Makes for a good dive and float presentation for bass or trout.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]3. Not sure just how deep they run on either a cast or trolling without weight. I am guessing 5-7 feet tops. Good for flatline trolling for early and late season trout. Also good for working shallow shorelines.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]4. Should be good for trolling behind weight...downrigger, leadcore, pop gear or inline sinkers. Should also have some application for working on a longer leader above a bottom bouncer setup for walleyes,[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]5. Good wiggle at slow retrieve speed. Fast vibration at high speed.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I only fished them for about a half hour total, but did catch one walleye and had a couple of other hits while fishing with one rigged "Carolina crankbait" style...with a sliding weight behind a bobber, about 3 feet ahead of the lure. Cast it out, let it settle to the bottom and then varied the retrieve speed.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I like the possibilities enough that I am going to paint up some more, in different colors.[/#0000ff]
