drumking, chickamauga, Crappie and bass, 4/21/09, WBwilly

The weather man was finally right today. He said that it would be breezy and he wasn't lying. Whitecapping so badly in the main river channel, that WBwilly and I had to abandon plans to fish for spots and get into a sheltered place and crappie fish. Bill managed to catch a smallie off some riprap near the dam before the wind started howling. Then we got behind some docks and finally found some crappie. We caught between 20-25 crappie with about 75% of these fish being keeper sized. All fish released today. We also caught one little spot there and then ended back at the dam and Bill caught another little spot. It was near 12:30 and we called it a day. It was not the best of days to fish, but a very enjoyable day with a new friend. First time with me Bill, and I really enjoyed your company. I want to go again when the weather is better. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
