started a little above midlake today....started throwing plastics, small crankbaits early.... caught a few fish in the 4lb range right off the bat. then kind of kept moving trying to duplicate that pattern in a few more areas without much luck... found a couple more groups of fish, but not the size we were looking for.... most were just 2lb range with half or so being slicks....... around 11am the wind became unbearable so we decided to get a hamburger and wait til the winds got to hurricane speed before we went back after them... we couldnt throw plastics effectively so we went with spinnerbaits and crankbaits.. .we managed to catch 10 or so more with only one or two over 3lbs.,.. best 5 for the day around 18lbs.....<br /><br /><br />here&#39;s a pic of one of the fish i caught early.... emoFish
