Our day started out early, I left my house around 2:30 this morning to meet up with my guide for the tournament. Neither one of us got a lot of sleep last night do to taking the wives out, comes to find out. Anyway we head to the lake and I talk with Ol' Bent Rod and he says we better hurry up as parking places are getting slim. We finally arrived got signed up and payed, boat in the water and the truck parked. Next comes Blast Off and we run up the lake a piece and start fishing water 8-12 feet deep with jigs. Wasn't long before Peck sets the hook and our first keeper is in the boat, small but a keeper.
A few cast later he sets the hook again and says get the net and a soild 4-4.5 pounder is rolling just out of net range and shakes lose before we got it in. We thought we probably would regret that. A few minutes had went by and finally I get a bite, set the hook, and a 5.49 is in the livewell, 2 in the well before 7:15. So we decide to fish that area a little harder and put another 2.5 in the boat from there. Fished another area close by and caught another solid 4+, then Peck sets the hook, and up comes the 7.07, after a good fight she is in the well. Limit in the boat, time to try and start culling. We were succesful for the remainder of the day with fish coming pretty consistentaley through out the day. We were able to cull up at least 3 times to finish the TX with 24+ pounds. And big fish of 7.07. Water temps were 63-70 today and we mostly fished jigs all day.

Thanks for putting the TX together and I believe all had fun today, I know we did. Thanks for the Guide Trip today Terry I really enjoyed it.
